Facility - Demuth Park

With support from the City of Palm Springs since 1963, the Palm Springs Boxing Club (PSBC) has trained and changed the lives of many youths, including the humble beginnings of local champions, such as Timothy Bradley and Cub Swanson. The current location of the Club is within the Demuth Park Community Center and has been in operation there for about 8 years. Prior to its current location, it was located near the Palm Springs Airport and was under the supervision of Coach Steve Quinonez for nearly 15 years. Coach Steve remains the trainer and President of PSBC and has weathered many bouts of struggles that many nonprofit organizations have to endure. Coach Steve and the City of Palm Springs are dedicated to assist the youth who seek opportunity, change, a healthy lifestyle, and/or a positive path away from troubling issues, such as drugs and gangs.
